Quran 29:45. You shall recite what is revealed to you of the scripture, and observe the Contact Prayers (Salaat), for the Contact Prayers prohibit evil and vice. But the remembrance of GOD (through Salaat) is the most important objective. GOD knows everything you do.

The Five Daily Contact Prayers Top
The Contact Prayers must be performed at specific times:
Quran 4:103. Once you complete your Contact Prayer (Salaat), you shall remember GOD while standing, sitting, or lying down. Once the war is over, you shall observe the Contact Prayers (Salaat); the Contact Prayers (Salaat) are decreed for the believers at specific times.
The specific time for the Five Daily Contact Prayers are mentioned in 2:238, 11:114, 17:78, & 24:58.
1. Morning Prayer ( Fajr ): This Prayer should be performed after dawn but before sunrise.
2. Noon Prayer ( Zuhr ): This Prayer should be performed after the sun declines from its highest point at noon. Zuhr Prayer can be performed until before the Asr Prayer.
3. Afternoon Prayer, or The Middle Prayer ( Asr ): This Prayer should be performed from halfway between the Noon and the Sunset prayer until before sunset.
4. Sunset Prayer ( Maghrib ): This Prayer should be performed from sun set until before the complete darkness sets in.
5. Night Prayer ( Esha ): This Prayer should be performed when total darkness has set in. It can be performed until before the Morning Prayer.True believers should be anxious to establish contact with their Creator, therefore, they perform their Contact Prayers on time.

Quran 11:114. You shall observe the Contact Prayers (Salaat) at both ends of the day, and during the night. The righteous works wipe out the evil works. This is a reminder for those who would take heed.
Noon Prayer (Zuhr): This Prayer should be performed after the sun declines from its highest point at noon.
Daily Contact Prayer No. 2
Quran 17:78. You shall observe the Contact Prayer (Salaat) when the sun declines from its highest point at noon, as it moves towards sunset. You shall also observe (the recitation of) the Quran at dawn. (Reciting) the Quran at dawn is witnessed.
Afternoon Prayer (Asr, the Middle Prayer): This Prayer should be performed from halfway between the Noon and the Sunset. This prayer can be observed until before sunset.
Quran 2:238. You shall consistently observe the Contact Prayers, especially the middle prayer, and devote yourselves totally to GOD.
Quran 24:58. O you who believe, permission must be requested by your servants and the children who have not attained puberty (before entering your rooms). This is to be done in three instances - before the Dawn Prayer, at noon when you change your clothes to rest, and after the Night Prayer. These are three private times for you. At other times, it is not wrong for you or them to mingle with one another. GOD thus clarifies the revelations for you. GOD is Omniscient, Most Wise.

Daily Contact Prayers1. The first Sura in the Quran, "The Key," in Arabic "الفاتحه," is GOD's gift with which we can communicate with Him five times a day. Incredibly as we recite this Sura in Arabic our lips touch 19 times. This first Sura in the Quran is the only sura that its opening statement is given number, thus the number of the verses in Sura 1 is 7. This 1 and 7 together 17 is the number of the units of the Contact Prayer we perform daily. It is interesting to know that "The Key" was the 5th revelation revealed to Prophet Muhammad. By looking at the 5 and 17 in connection with the first Sura in the Quran, we should appreciate the Divine purpose of the Almighty. It is GOD's will that the sincere believers know how many times a day to pray, how many units to perform, and what Sura to recite. Praise be to GOD, Lord of the universe!
2. Sura 17 has 111 verses and the last two words at the end of the last verse say, (وكبره تكبيرا), "And magnify Him constantly." In the 17 units of the Contact Prayers that we perform daily, 111 times we go through motions and change our positions. The Quran says that as we go through the motions to change our positions, we should magnify GOD. We should magnify Him each and every time without exception, "Constantly." The ultimate words with which we can magnify GOD are (الله اكبر), Allahu Akbar. Glory is to GOD; it is a part of the design of the Almighty that 111 occurs in the Quran 17 times. There are sixteen verse 111 and one Sura 111 in the Quran. Incredibly the 17th 111 in the Quran is the sura number, a Sura that has 5 verses. In our 5 Contact Prayers, the 17 units that we perform Daily, 111 times we go through motions and change our positions. Praise be to GOD, Lord of the universe!
3. Those who insist on doing their Daily Contact Prayers (Salaat) in 3 times instead of 5 cannot dispute the fact that in the 17 units of the Prayers we perform daily, we go through motions and change our positions 111 times. To those who believe in the Quran's 19-based mathematical miracle, please observe the followings:

3,111 = Not Multiple
Praise be to GOD, Lord of the worlds!4. Almighty GOD in the Quran 5 times points at the Sacred Masjid as the direction we should choose when we stand to perform our Salaat, our Daily Contact Prayers. Why 5 times and not 3? Only those who are intelligent will take heed!

We now assign a Qiblah that is pleasing to you.

Those who received the previous scripture know that this is the truth from their Lord.

Wherever you go,

Thus, the people will have no argument against you, except the transgressors among them.
Do not fear them, and fear Me instead.
I will then perfect My blessings upon you, that you may be guided.

*****5. The Arabic phrase “Observe the Contact Prayer,” in Arabic (أقم الصلوة), occurs in the Quran exactly 5 times; 11:114, 17:78, 20:14, 29:45, and 31:17. Praise be to GOD; the number of the Daily Contact Prayers we should observe is, without a doubt, 5 and not 3.

These are the most honorable traits.
Quran 31:17<><><><><><><><>
Glory is to GOD; this is truly remarkable! Of the 5 verse numbers above, the 1st is 114 that is the number of the suras in the Quran, and the 5th is 17, the number of the units of our Daily Contact Prayers. Incredibly 31:17 is comprised of 17 Arabic words. Almighty GOD in the Quran 5 times points at the command "Observe the Contact Prayers." Why 5 times and not 3? Only those who are intelligent will take heed!

Prohibitions When Performing the Contact Prayers Top
Quran 4:43. O you who believe, do not observe the Contact Prayers (Salaat) while intoxicated, so that you know what you are saying. Nor after sexual orgasm without bathing, unless you are on the road, traveling; if you are ill or traveling, or you had urinary or fecal-related excretion (such as gas), or contacted the women (sexually), and you cannot find water, you shall observe Tayam`mum (dry ablution) by touching clean dry soil, then wiping your faces and hands therewith. GOD is Pardoner, Forgiver.
Quran 4:142. The hypocrites think that they are deceiving GOD, but He is the One who leads them on. When they get up for the Contact Prayer (Salat), they get up lazily. That is because they only show off in front of the people, and rarely do they think of GOD.
Quran 9:54. What prevented the acceptance of their spending is that they disbelieved in GOD and His messenger, and when they observed the Contact Prayers (Salaat), they observed them lazily, and when they gave to charity, they did so grudgingly.
Quran 107:4. And woe to those who observe the contact prayers (Salaat) -
Quran 107:5. who are totally heedless of their prayers.
The 764th verse in the Quran (including the Basmalah) is 5:91. This verse is directly connected with the Salat, our daily Contact Prayers. Please note that while performing the daily Contact Prayers, in one week, 764 times we go through motions and change our positions (666 times in 6 days and on Friday 98 times).
Quran 5:91. The devil wants to provoke animosity and hatred among you through intoxicants and gambling, and to distract you from remembering GOD, and from observing the Contact Prayers (Salaat). Will you then refrain?
The accursed Satan comes up with all kinds of schemes to create distraction in order to take us away from GOD. Gambling and intoxicants are physical tools that the Devil uses to throw his human victims off the track. Mentioning other names beside the name of GOD in Contact Prayers is a clear case of idol worship and nullifies our Prayers. To uphold other teachings beside the Quran, teachings such as Hadith, Sunna, Rashad's Salaat-booklet, and his tapes are other forms of committing idol-worship, 6:19. The Devil comes up with all kinds of tricks to make his human victims believe that the Quran is not enough. The wrath of GOD is upon Satan!

How to Perform the Contact Prayers Top
The Intention: Our Contact Prayers (Salaat) must be absolutely devoted to GOD ALONE. Glory is to GOD; the following verse says it all. It is noteworthy that the verse number is 162, and 162 is gematrical value of the word "Al-Salaat," "The Contact Prayer," (1+30+90+30+6+5).
Quran 6:162. Say, "My Contact Prayers (Salaat), my worship practices, my life and my death, are all devoted absolutely to God alone, the Lord of the universe.
Ablution: The Quran tells us that before we start our contact prayers we must perform the ablution. It is absolutely essential to have the intention to dedicate our worship practices to GOD ALONE. Verse 5:6 in the Quran clearly states how to do the ablution:
Quran 5:6. O you who believe, when you observe the Contact Prayers (Salaat), you shall: (1) wash your faces, (2) wash your arms to the elbows, (3) wipe your heads, and (4) wash your feet to the ankles. If you were unclean due to sexual orgasm, you shall bathe. If you are ill, or traveling, or had any digestive excretion (urinary, fecal, or gas), or had (sexual) contact with the women, and you cannot find water, you shall observe the dry ablution (Tayam`mum) by touching clean dry soil, then rubbing your faces and hands. GOD does not wish to make the religion difficult for you; He wishes to cleanse you and to perfect His blessing upon you, that you may be appreciative.
GOD wishes no hardship imposed on us in practicing our religion. Any suggestion in mythology as to how to perform some of the details that move us in the direction of making the religion difficult, cannot be from GOD and is not approved by Him.
GOD says when you observe the Contact Prayers:1. Wash your face, and we have 1 face.2. Wash your arms to the elbow, and we have 2 arms.3. Wipe your head, and we have 1 head.4. Wash your feet to the ankles, and we have 2 feet.1 + 2 + 1 + 2 = 6Before performing our 5 daily Contact Prayers, we do the above 6 actions in our ablution. This is why Almighty GOD has placed the instruction for ablution in 5:6. People should be able to do these actions comfortably, without any hardship. People are men, women, left-handed, right-handed, tall, short, fat, skinny, and all sort of other things. How to do the details is up to the individuals.
In regard to our feet, some people might say that the Quran says we should wipe our feet to the ankles instead of washing them. GOD says that He loves those who are clean. The believers should use their own judgment, this is a test for all of us. We must not create division between ourselves dueling on this issue. Regardless of washing our feet or wiping them, GOD will not through our Prayers to waist.
Facing the Direction of the Mecca: While performing our daily Contact Prayer, we must face the direction of Mecca (Kabah).
Quran 2:149. Wherever you go, you shall turn your face (during Salaat) towards the Sacred Masjid. This is the truth from your Lord. GOD is never unaware of anything you all do.
Quran 2:150. Wherever you go, you shall turn your face (during Salat) towards the Sacred Masjid; wherever you might be, you shall turn your faces (during Salat) towards it. Thus, the people will have no argument against you, except the transgressors among them. Do not fear them, and fear Me instead. I will then perfect My blessings upon you, that you may be guided.
In North America, the direction of the "Qiblah" is slightly south of East. It is not the distance that counts, what matters is the direction that must be correct and consistent.
Intention: Our intention must be resolute that our Contact Prayers are dedicated to GOD ALONE. We must also know the specific Prayer we are about to perform and the number of its units.
Quran 6:162. Say, "My Contact Prayers (Salaat), my worship practices, my life and my death, are all devoted absolutely to God alone, the Lord of the universe.
Takbeer: When we stand to perform our Contact Prayers we start by raising our hands to the sides of our face so that our thumbs touch our ears. As we go through the motion to drop our hands to our sides, we utter "ALLAHU AKBAR." These are the ultimate words with which we magnify GOD, our Only Lord and Savior. While performing our Contact Prayers (Salaat), we must remember that we are standing before Almighty GOD. Therefore, it is most important that we reverence the majesty of our Creator every second that we are in contact with Him.

Bowing (Rukoo'): During the contact prayers we bow down to our Most Gracious Lord. As we go through the motion to change our position from the standing to bowing, we must magnify GOD by saying, "ALLAHU AKBAR."

Glorifying GOD in the Bowing Position (Rukoo'): While in bowing position we must glorify GOD by uttering three times "Sob'haana Rab`bial Azeem," which means "You be glorified my Lord, the Most Great."

Standing upright from the bowing position (from Rukoo'): Without exception, every time we go through motion to change our position in our Contact Prayers, we must magnify GOD by uttering "Allahu Akbar:"

Sitting up from the First Prostration (Sajdah): As we go through motion to sit up from the prostration position we magnify GOD by saying, "ALLAHUAKBAR."

Rising up from the Second Prostration (Sajdah): We magnify GOD by saying "ALLAHU AKBAR" while rising up after the second prostration to the standing position. We then repeat the above steps for the second unit of the contact prayer. When we rise from the second prostration at the second unit of the contact prayer we magnify GOD by saying "Allahu Akbar" but then instead of rising to the standing position we remain in sitting position and proceed to say the "Shahaadah," the proclamation of faith:

The Shahaadah: While in the sitting position after the second prostration we say the words of Shahaadah in Arabic: "Ash'hadu an laa elaaha ella Allah, Wah'dahu la shareeka lah" (I bear witness that there is no other god beside GOD, He ALONE (is GOD) and He has no partner).

The Salutation (Salaam): With salutation we end the contact prayer by saying the Arabic words "Salaamun Alaikum" twice, first when looking to the right and then looking to the left.
Please note that the Morning Prayer consists of 2 units. Therefore, at the end of the 2nd unit, we must declare the Shahaadah and then end the contact prayer by saying, "Salaamu Alaikum" two times, first by looking to the right and then to the left while we are in the sitting position. The Noon prayer consists of 4 units. After we declare the Shahaadah at the end of the 2nd unit; we say, "ALLAHU AKBAR" to stand up for the 3rd unit. At the end of the 4th unit, we declare the Shahaadah and conclude the contact prayer by saying, "Salaamun Alaikum" twice, first by looking to the right and then to the left while we are still in the sitting position. The Afternoon Prayer, consists of 4 units and thus it is performed the same way as the Noon Prayer. The Sunset Prayer consists of 3 units. After we declare the Shahaadah at the end of the 2nd unit; we say, "ALLAHU AKBAR" and stand up for the 3rd unit. At the end of the 3rd unit; instead of standing up, while we are still in the sitting position, after the second prostration, we declare the Shahaadah and then proceed to end the contact prayer by saying, "Salaamun Alaikum" twice, first by looking to the right and then to the left. The Night Prayer consists of 4 units and thus it must be performed in the same manner as we do our Noon and Afternoon prayers.

In the 5 times that we pray every day, we perform 17 units of Contact Prayers, thus (5,17). Our 1st prayer is 2 units, thus (1,2). Our 2nd prayer is 4 units, thus (2,4). Our 3rd prayer is 4 units, thus (3,4). Our 4th Prayer is 3 units, thus (4,3). And our 5th Prayer is 4 units, thus (5,4). Glory is to GOD; by adding the five numbers obtained we get:

A very interesting observation:
Verse 2:238 in the Quran points at "The Middle Prayer," (الصلوة الوسطى). The gematrical value of the word “The Middle” (الوسطي) is 116, (1 + 30 + 6 + 60 + 9 + 10). There are two verses in the Quran in which GOD points at five ( 5 ) of His prophets, 33:7 and 42:13. These prophets are Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Mohammad. Among the five prophets, "Moses” is placed in “The Middle” position, and the gematrical value of the name "Moses,” in Arabic (موسى), is also 116, (40 + 6 + 60 + 10)."Which of your Lord's marvels can you deny?!"

Especially, the Middle Prayer,
And devote yourselves totally to GOD.

2:238Verse 2:238 tells us to observe (حفظوا) the five daily “Contact Prayers” (الصلوت). It also emphasizes the importance of the Middle Prayer (الصلوة الوسطى). If we look at the verse 2:238 closely, we see that there are 2 letter "Saad" (ص) in it, the first one is in the word “Contact Prayer” (الصلوت), and the second is in the word (الصلوة). Now let us look at all the verses in the Quran in which we can find 2 letter Sad (ص) and the word “Contact Prayer. ” Glory is to GOD; there are only 19 of such verses in the Quran.
